FAQ'S FOR TENANTS

Rent Payments ?

Rent should always be paid in advance by at least one week at all times. Please ensure all payments are referenced with the lease holder’s surname & property address.

What happens if I don’t pay my rent ?

If you think your rent payment is likely to be late or you are having difficulty paying, please advise us immediately.
Failure to pay your rent on or before the due date will result in the immediate issuing of a 14 day notice under the Residential Tenancies Act 1986. If the rent is not then paid in full, we will apply to Tenancy Services for a Tenancy Hearing. If we cannot resolve the issue at this point, we will go to the Tribunal and an adjudicator will make a decision for us. This may result in you having to pay the outstanding rental, additional costs and your credit rating may be affected. We have a ZERO tolerance policy towards rent arrears.

What is my rubbish day ?

Wellington City Council (WCC) collects rubbish in your area, please phone them on 499 4444 or clink on this link and enter your Street/Road name http://wellington.govt.nz/services/environment-and-waste/rubbish-and-recycling to find out your collection day.
They will only collect rubbish that has been placed in the correct WCC bags, these can be purchased from any supermarket. WCC will also collect your recycle bin/bag on the same day. The bags need to be placed at kerbside before 8am. Any rubbish not disposed of regularly could become a health problem, especially during summer. All rubbish must be disposed of on a regular basis or it will attract rodents and other unpleasant creepy crawlies.

Can I have a pet ?

We do not allow DOGS at any of our properties. Some owners will allow a cat however we must get the approval of the owner first. If approved we will email you the approval and get you to sign a separate letter agreeing to some conditions to be kept.
